I have been tying fishing flies for many years. Papa
Joy Dunlap (Destin Fly Fishing Shop) gave me my first set of hackle
and sold me a Traveler Renzetti, During those first years I used anything
I could find to tie flies. Destin was limited in its Fly Fishing tackle
stores then. I even cut some buck fur off Captain Donnie Brown?s buck mounts.
Today, I have a large selection of supplies, a saltwater cam vise (Renzetti)
and now I can tie almost any color, pattern or size . I mostly like saltwater
fishing flies with a lot of marabou and feathers. In and around the Florida
Panhandle we have the fish that we can use these larger flowing flies on.
I supply some of the guys here with Clousers and shrimps, but my heart
is in the larger fly. I tie all my flys with a circle hook

| My
lovely wife Perri and I live in Fort Walton Beach, Florida in a wonderful
house with our sheltie, "Tussy". Perri works for Gulf Coast Hatteras
in Destin, Florida. I also work in Destin where I am the Captain of four
yachts and have a yacht maintenance business. During the winter I deliver
boats to-from the East Coast and the Bahama's area.
With
all this going on I still have time for fly fishing and fly tying.
My tying bench is set up in one of our bedrooms where I am surrounded with
all ?my stuff?. This room is very special to us .We have decorated
it with things we brought back from China and Malaysia. We spent some time
in Boston, Philly, New York and Maine where brought a few tokens from as
well.I also have a 210lb Blue Marlin my friend Donnie Brown caught many
years ago. Though not a live mount, it was his first Blue.

Perri and I have children from previous marriages
and 4 grandchildren in all. My youngest girl Mellisa lives closest to us
and has 2 girls, (Annsleigh, Hayden). My oldest daughter Jessica
and her husband Vince live in Aspen,Colorodo. The middle son Nathan
lives in Lakeland, Florida. and has a son (Damian). Perri's boy Dub lives
on the oil rigs he dives for and has a son (Dylan).
This year we bought a 25' Everglades, with a 175 Yamaha. It cruises
at 40mph and has all the latest set ups for fly fishing. Our Bay area has
an abundent supply of trout and redfish. When the weather permits
we can fly fish outside the jetties for blues, kings, and cobia. Give us
